My learning goal this term is order and sequence the ideas in a text & understand correct grammatical
features in a text.
I  can do this by thinking about the order the ideas go in.

Procedural Writing

WALHT write a procedural .
Something I leaned about procedural writing is you need a list of ingredients.
Something I would like to do better is use more adverbs.
Here is my writing.

Jelly pops

How to make delicious jelly pops.

What do you need?
  • Cold water (½ cup)
  • A whisk
  • Boiling water 1 cup
  • Fruit sticks
  • Party cups
  • A jug/bowl
  • Measuring cup
  • Jelly crystals
1  Prepare  the party cups upright on a flat surface.                                                                           
2  Pour the boiling water into the measuring cup .   
3  Tip the jelly crystals into boiling water and stir till dissolved.
4  Add the cold water into the measuring cup.
5  Carefully pour the jelly into the party cups.
6  Take the fruit sticks and stick them into the party cups.
7  Take the jelly pops and pop them in the fridge to set.
8   ENJOY.


At dance we have been learning hip hop and salsa.
I enjoyed hip hop because the moves are cool.
I learnt that  you  have a  partner  in  salsa.


WALHT  display data in a bar graph.
Something I learned was that  you can have lots of types of bar graphs about different things.

But I did go to Holly’s birthday party

I didn’t eat fish
I didn’t eat chicken
I didn’t eat KFC
But I did eat Mc Donalds

I didn’t see a flying cow
I didn’t see Kylah
I didn’t see Miss B
But I did see a movie

Next time I would like to write in bigger sentences.

Punchy Poetry

I have been learning  to create an  example  of onomatopoeia.                                                                     These are my examples  POP  POW   Vroom  CRACK.
Next time I  would  like  to use more  Anzac ideas in my poetry.

Taiao Programme

I have been learning to be safe around the kitchen.                                                                                       We made apple crumble.                                                                                                                             I learned that  apple crumble can be made  in lots of different ways.
A question I have is how do the knives stay sharp?

Learning to Send a Photo

I   am learning to add a photo to send to my blog from my Google Drive.

Little River Trip

The  Year 4 students went to Cheskin Orchard and Chook Manor to learn about fruit and chickens.
I learned chickens come in different breeds.
I liked eating the green gauges.
A question that I have for Jeremy is how long did it take you to plant the fruit trees?


We are learning to understand musical notation and apply this on the recorder.

Mathletics Class of the Week for New Zealand

We are learning to practice our maths skills.

We know we have been successful because we won the prize for being the best Mathletics class in New Zealand for the week.
